The hosts created a warm atmosphere with good breakfast options. The small pool limits relaxation options.

We both liked it, the place is absolutely gorgeous and suited fine. The location of the hotel was central, so close to the forest, nearby restaurants in the evening and Smiling Places. Found time to see Praia de Angeiras, that's just a short stroll away from the property.

A hidden gem with heart

Staying at Smiling Places was like finding a cozy haven after a long journey. The hosts were attentive. The decor was enchanting, designed with love and care-each room tells its own story. I especially appreciated the helpful advice about the Camino route.

The breakfast had to be ordered in advance, a change that caught me off guard at first. It's all in the name of reducing waste, which I understand, but clearer communication would help guests feel more at ease about the process.

Abundant selection for breakfast with ham and croissants and rolls. Well-equipped room with modern bathroom. Ideal location to 3 different restaurants, easy to get anywhere.

The doors really need some oiling, the location is only reachable by car or taxi!!! A bit of honesty about the room sizes would go a long way!!! The bathrooms could benefit from more amenities!!!

The hotel had a central setting on the coast.

we got excellent services and a tastefully decorated, new-fashioned room with modern bathroom. a flat-screen tv with cable channels, central heating and an individual safe were all available. thoroughly enjoyed the location close to the ocean.

Just wish the doors were a bit quieter, but it didn't ruin our amazing experience!

Warm welcome from Elizabeth and Fernando, along with a refreshing beer after a long day on the Camino. The accommodations were beautifully furnished, and the ambiance was inviting. Breakfast was a feast with ample choices, and the outdoor pool added a relaxing touch.

during my stay, I loved how close the guesthouse was to Praia de Angeiras, just a 15-minute walk away, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful beach views, and the good Casa Do Mar E Tanques Romanos was only a short distance of about 1.5 km, perfect for a lovely stroll to discover some local history.

The charming hosts created an inviting atmosphere. Each room boasts unique decor, and snacks and pool towels enhance the experience. Some doors needed maintenance, and access without a vehicle could be challenging. Communication about breakfast ordering also left room for improvement.

This venue offers a lovely atmosphere for dinner and provides an enjoyable dining experience.

The hosts were warm and cute. They took the time to explain the camino route changes, which really helped us. Our double room with a balcony was clean and comfy. Breakfast was good, and they even packed us a lunch for our camino walk. The nearby restaurants made evenings even better.
